STINGERS
Welcome to the Hive!
The Stingers, organized in 2001, is a team of energetic, eager students in the seventh grade at Coleman Middle School in Greenville, Mississippi. We are led by some of the best teachers in our state: Mrs. Lillie Burrell teaches us social studies, Ms. Jorgell Jones and Mrs. Debra Holmes teach language arts, and Mrs. Federica Lloyd is our science instructor. Ms. Farisha Seaton and Ms. Louise Holliman are our math instructors.

Facts about the Stingers:
We chose our name because we are HORNETS in the making.
( The Hornet
is the mascot of Greenville-Weston High School, where we will travel next!)
Our motto is "Bee all that you can Bee!"
Our colors are BLACK and GOLD,
The Stingers are different from the other teams at CMS. Our students take regular classes, but we also have several classes of advanced math, language arts, social studies, and science. Students in these classes must be willing to work harder, study longer, and exhibit the best behavior habits. We call these classes "Challenge" classes. Anyone can enter-but you must be ready to do your best!
Our honors include the following:
National
Jr. Honor Society members
Superintendent Scholars (all A's)
Principal's List Scholars (all A's and B's)
Reading Fair Winners
Science Fair Winners
Many Student Council officers
Many Leadership Club members
CMS Band leaders
CMS Honor Chorale
We understand that WE are the leaders of tomorrow.
At Coleman Middle School we strive to "Bee All That WE Can Bee!"
